(2.2) Publication Release: DRN!–A Designer's Toolbox for Revolution

The publication, designed in the style of a fanzine, presents various methods within the working processes of designers under the overarching concept of the tool—questioned, reinterpreted, and placed in new contexts. Developed and exhibited by a temporary collective from the University of Applied Arts Vienna upon invitation by VIENNA DESIGN WEEK 2024, Design Revolution Now! goes beyond mere documentation. It reveals a new understanding of the designer’s role emerging from a younger generation and, consequently, highlights the need for a fundamental reform of design education at the Angewandte.
