From Intervention to Transformation? What spaces for change do Design Research Labs open up for us?
As part of the Open Lecture series, Dr. Andrea Augsten, Professor of Management & Design at the New Design University since autumn, offers insights into her longstanding research on Design Research Labs. The lecture focuses on experimental environments in which design is understood as an investigative, collaborative, and transformative practice. These labs operate as interfaces between academia, industry, and society, enabling new modes of knowledge production, action, and cooperation. Drawing on concrete examples, Andrea Augsten demonstrates how Design Research Labs address complex future challenges and create spaces for collective learning and co-creation.
The Open Lectures of the Regenerative Design Lab form an ongoing series of talks, workshops, and discussion formats. They accompany the teaching activities of Harald Gründl at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, engage an extended public audience, and open diverse perspectives on regenerative design.
The Open Lecturess are part of our annual programme supported by the BMKWMS and designaustria.
